How quickly can you reach me?
It depends on where you are and what the traffic is doing, but one call reaches the nearest available crew and you get a realistic ETA rather than a vague promise. If we cannot get to you in a sensible time, we will say so on the phone rather than leave you waiting.
Are you available at night and on holidays?
Yes. Crews are on call every hour of every day, including weekends and public holidays. Night calls may carry a small after-hours charge, and it is always quoted before anyone sets off.
How is the price worked out?
On the distance, the vehicle type and the method the job needs. We quote a firm price before the truck leaves, so you know the cost in advance rather than after the vehicle is already loaded.
Is there a call-out fee if you cannot help?
No. If we attend and cannot resolve the problem or move the vehicle, you are not charged a call-out fee.
Do you tow motorcycles?
Yes. Motorcycles are secured with straps and a wheel chock rather than a standard hook-up, which keeps the frame and forks out of harm.
Can you move a vehicle that has no keys or will not roll?
Usually, yes. Skates and dollies let us move a vehicle whose wheels will not turn, and a flatbed handles vehicles that cannot be steered. Mention it when you call so we bring the right gear.
Do you cover long-distance and inter-city moves?
Yes. Inter-city transport is quoted on distance and vehicle type, and is normally cheaper when it is booked in advance rather than called out as an emergency.
What information should I have ready when I call?
Where you are, what you drive, what has happened, and where the vehicle needs to go. A location pin sent by WhatsApp is the fastest and most accurate way to tell us where to come.
Do you handle accident recovery?
Yes. We clear damaged vehicles from the road and deliver them to the garage, bodyshop or assessor you nominate, and we photograph the vehicle before and after loading.
Is a flatbed better than a normal tow?
For low, prized, all-wheel-drive or non-running vehicles, yes — all four wheels come off the road so there is no drivetrain wear and no added mileage. For many ordinary breakdowns a conventional lift is perfectly safe and costs less.
Can you deliver fuel if I run out?
Yes. We bring enough to get you to the nearest filling station and stay until the engine is running. Tell us the fuel type when you call.
What if the wrong fuel has gone into my tank?
Do not start the engine. Starting it circulates the wrong fuel through the system and turns a straightforward job into an expensive one. Call us and we will move the vehicle instead.
